The first trailer for A Minecraft Movie doesn’t look very good. The movie has stars like Jack Black and Jason Momoa, but even they likely can’t save a movie with such bad CGI. This movie honestly makes me feel bad for making fun of Minecraft Story Mode. Maybe the upcoming Minecraft animated series for Netflix will be better?
The gaming industry was on a roll with video game adaptations like The Super Mario Bros Movie and The Last of Us, but after the Borderlands movie flopped hard, it seems like we’re back to the way things were.
Who knows, though, maybe this movie is actually great and we’re just jumping to conclusions? I wish that were the case, but I honestly doubt it. At least we’ll get funny memes out of this!
