How bad is the Minecraft movie trailer? Fans are pretty disappointed, and I totally get why. Choosing a mix of live action and CGI over a fully animated film makes no sense to me. They should’ve gone with the animation style from the recent Minecraft trailers instead of this weird, uncanny CGI that looks like the worst hyper-realistic texture pack ever. A more stylized art style would’ve represented Minecraft so much better than this horror show that makes the mobs look like something out of Cats (2019) and makes the live-action actors stick out like a sore thumb. If this is what they’ve been working on for so long, it’s a real shame.
