Today glitch revealed the trailer and release date for their next indie pilot, knights of guinevere. Let me explain.
So glitch posted a short trailer showcasing the animation and general plot of the show. The pilot releases september 19th. It’s a psychological thriller about a theme park, where two characters encounter the broken android gwen.
The thing that stuck out to me the most throughout the trailer is that alot of kog’s premise is a direct critique of disney.
The style of the park is a nod to disneyland and walt’s failed city of the future called epcot. Gwen’s space buns resemble mickey mouse’s ears.
The owner of the park is nearly a 1 to 1 replica of walt disney. One frame shows the parks creators making a live action remake nobody asked for. And one of the images of gwen is clearly a parody of elsa from frozen.
This all stems from the way disney mistreated Dana and everyone who worked on the owl house. They messed with the storyline so that it would fit the disney brand.
Turning a fantastical theme park full of wonder into a thrilling horror is such an interesting premise. What do you think? Let me know down below.
