Is it really comedy, or just an easy excuse for vulgarity? The Mastiii 4 Trailer is out, and unfortunately, it looks like the franchise is once again banking on cheap, cringe-worthy double-meaning dialogues and stale non-veg jokes.
I watched the almost 3-minute trailer, and honestly, the laughter was zero. The biggest takeaways were seeing Tushar Kapoor finally getting speaking dialogues, and Aftab Shivdasani landing a role after last appearing in Special Ops 1.5 back in 2021.
The Cast & The Jokes: Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Tushar Kapoor, and Arshad Warsi are all in this, but they are stuck delivering jokes so old and repetitive that you genuinely start feeling bad for their acting skills.
The Masti franchise—which includes Masti (2004), Grand Masti (2013), and Great Grand Masti (2016)—is back after a long 9-year gap. But the fourth installment offers nothing new: forced, tasteless non-veg jokes, a cameo by Arshad Warsi as Circuit, the same old extra-marital affair plot, cheap glamour, and a solid reason not to watch this film with your family.
With this many double-meaning dialogues just in the trailer, I’m scared watching the full movie on November 21st might make my ears bleed! My advice: DON’T GO TO WATCH THIS FILM.
It’s an easy route for Bollywood: Non-veg jokes equal ‘comedy.’ But here at TVC Talkies, we are working hard to deliver good content without relying on cheap tricks.
