Sega went all out with their marketing, and we got our first look at Jim Carrey as Doctor Eggman. But the real star? Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog, who dominates the team, making them look weak. If Shadow’s this powerful, Sonic might have to team up with Eggman, leading to the possible introduction of Metal Sonic. The trailer was incredible, showcasing Shadow’s pain and depth. Plus, the CGI is top-notch. Shadow isn’t just a villain—he’s a tragic character shaped by loss, which might lead to a team-up with Sonic against an even bigger threat, possibly the BioLizard. There’s also a hint of a major villain to come. We saw Krysten Ritter as Director Rockwell on Instagram, and while I hoped she’d play Rouge, we still got a peek at chows and other exciting details. With this much anticipation and layered storytelling, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 could easily be the greatest movie of the year. December can’t come soon enough!
